Inspiration

Every January starts with a New Years resolutions, and a long to do list. I’m no different to anyone else, my to do list contains of new projects, ideas, and jobs that I haven’t finished. I always have such a good intensions and positive attitude but not always it would last. So I thought, this year I’ll have to change it. Therefore, I set myself a goal - change my habits, be inspired, and get my spark back.

I asked myself a few questions: “What inspires me? How can I get my spark back when I don’t feel like it? And, how to be consistent with creating amazing photos and fulfilling my dreams?”

What do we always do when we want to find out something?

Obviously - Google It!

Therefore, my first step was to find out what inspiration means.

Here is a definition:

/noun/

1. The process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.

2. A sudden brilliant or timely idea.

What inspires me?

The world around me inspires me, people inspires me, nature inspires me. So, if there’s an inspiration around us, why do we feel flat, bored, uninspired, and heavy? Is it because we are too busy with our day to day tasks, and we get side tracked?

So how to get my spark back when I don’t feel like it?

I created a list that would help me to change my habits, and to get my spark back when I don’t feel inspired:

  • Very often, what we most feel like doing is not what would help us. So to get out of an old habit we need to take opposite action, an example, if you don’t feel like leaving your house, put on your walking boots and go for a little walk. The same thing goes for feeling uninspired. Set yourself easy goals, nothing too complicated or that would take too much time. Small steps will help you to achieve bigger dreams. Also, by doing something you’ve never done before will excite you more.

  • Do something fun and unusual. Try something you have never tried before.

  • Talk about your dreams. Tell a friend about something you would like to do. Try to describe it in as much detail as possible. Also, friends will encourage you to achieve your dreams.

  • Be creative. Do something that would require you to stop thinking and start doing. It’s usually a great way of getting inspired.

  • Smile and laugh more. Smiling and laughing will make you happier and you’ll feel more inspired. This totally works!

  • Do what interests you the most. You might feel like nothing excites you. Like you don’t have anything. But I’m sure there is something in this world of possibilities that is more interesting than other things.

  • Let nature hold you. Take a walk in nature, walk barefoot on the beech, lie down in the grass and feel the earth support you. Relax, then move on.

Every little step helps. The main task is to be consistent, and keep going, even if you don’t feel like it. Some days you’ll feel less inspired, but don’t give up, the day after that could be twice inspiring, creative, and productive. I’ll give myself some time to improve on being consistent with changing my habits.

My motto is ‘Keep smiling!'

With Love,

Santa
